As we previously announced, Marvel chairman and CEO, Avi Arad was going to talk in a webcast this morning about Marvel film properties. XMF woke up early, and listened to the webcast live. He gave the latest update on X-MEN 3, and says to expect a director announcement "very soon"!

"We are feverishly working on X-MEN...the cast is IN. We will announce a director very shortly. It's a treacherous process to find the next Bryan Singer, but there are other Bryan Singer's out there. This weekend was specifically active, because everyone was in town for the Academy (Oscar's)...and very, very shortly everybody will get the answers." said Arad.

"I know we've been through the same process with the FANTASTIC FOUR, and it was all good news and happy ending, and this is going to be really happy, because our choices are really, REALLY interesting...and for X-Men it's kind of a philosophical drama, this is what's important to us. We need someone who gets the process right."
