Our Fox insider has given us the heads up on what's currently happening
with X3!
Gambit and Beast are CONFIRMED as being in the current screenplay, but
no word was given about Angel. What does this mean? We're not sure.
Either our source just didn't bother to mention the character, or maybe the
character isn't a main player? We're not sure just yet.
The past two weeks have been REALLY hectic at the studio. They have
been trying very hard to get everyone back for X3. As of today, the actors
comitted to return with new contracts are: Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellan,
Famke Janssen and Patrick Stewart. By the end of this week, they should
know if Anna Paquin will be returning. No new word on James Marsden, or
Halle Berry. Other cast members not mentioned are already optioned for
X3 from previous contracts.
In addition to Jean's PHOENIX, the SENTINELS and Dr. Bolivar Trask
seem to be making their debut in X3, if the current screenplay doesn't go
through drastic changes.
As with all things in Hollywood, things could change. Remember...the
Sentinels were originally going to be in X2. Hopefully it'll work out this time!
