Avi Arad was at the Wizard World Los Angeles convention this past
weekend for the FANTASTIC FOUR panel, and offered up some
information on the status of X-MEN 3:
"We've got the best sotry for the third, and it's going to be very special" say
Arad. Bryan is making SUPERMAN, and we'd love to have him do X-MEN
(but that's) the way the business goes sometimes. X-MEN is bigger than
any given director and there will be enormous amount of directors who
would give their whatever to direct it.
We can announce a date for X3: May 22nd, 2006. There will be new
characters...I think you will find it more exciting than one and two. It's a big
idea and big story that everyone has been waiting for.

and 2. It's a tall order, but it's a big idea, a bigger story."
