X-MEN 3 PRODUCERS SPEAK OUT!
July 12, 2005 - Source(s): Zap2It, Looking Closer

Producer Avi Arad got fiesty with the fans who constantly bashed the choice
of new X3 director Brett Ratner. "Idiots" he said, while he talked to
Zap2It.
"Did you see RED DRAGON? Did you see that?" Arad asked, reffering to
Ratner's well-recieved film. "And you saw FAMILY MAN, which is totally
different, a very emotional story. Then, you have two giant comedies. What
are they thinking? This is a great filmaker. Do you know how much
experience this guy has? This guy knows what he's doing."

Um....Dear Mr. Arad. The fans would appreciate if you didn't call them
"idiots". We realize you are frustrated with the negative feedback, but you
must find a more professional way of commenting on that situation. For

In other news, producer Ralph Winter talked to
LookingCloser about
FANTASTIC FOUR and X3. With the X-MEN film, he noted that the May 26,
2006 is a-go, and there will be "no problem" making that date.

"We have a much better script than the previous installments of X-MEN, and
that is exciting." said Winter. "Bryan [Singer] had envisioned this as a trilogy,
and now with Brett Ratner aboard, we will deliver a compelling third movie.
We are all pumped about it.
