Last week, they shot a convoy of Crown Victoria's and Yukon's getting flipped over. Special effects will be added later to show Magneto using his powers to push the cars off the road and into the ditch. This stunt simply consisted of a few rigged cars and SUV's being flipped and crashing into each other. There were a few hidden cameras concealed behind foliage on the sides of the highway,and they had a crane cam as well as a few other stationary ones.

They were going to shoot the flipping of a Semi truck, in which Mystique supposed to be contained in, but as mentioned before, they had to push the shooting back as it was raining too hard.

They blocked off an entire mile of highway to shoot these stunt sequences, but much of it was used to store the many cars and SUV's that were needed. Another section was used for crew vehicles and the crew services trailers, and another portion was devoted to safety vehicles, as well as constrcution trucks to help direct traffic. 

Sir Ian McKellen's body double was there (in costume) to show Magneto using his hands to push the vehicles off of the highway. His costume looked similar to that of the previous movie, with the cape and the helmet, but our scooper could not get close enough to see any minor changes.

Because the stunt requires very little work from any actors, the stunt sequence was shot by the 2nd Unit. The 2nd Unit director was there, as was the 2nd Unit Assistant Director, stunt director, special effects director, and many other crew members besides the stunt crew.

Agassiz is doubling for a location in Virginia, near a prison it is believed.

In other filming news, location scouts from X-Men 3 have apparently visited Grouse Mountains in Vancouver on a couple of occasions to 'see what they're all about', a publicist for the resort told XMF.

At this time, they have not made any arrangements to film there nor have they announced any plans to return.
