Wally tells us that the January issue of Game Informer Magazine features some new, interesting info on the upcoming X3 video game:

A new X-Men video game is being produced. Starring Wolverine, Iceman and Nightcrawler, this game will take place from the time the X-Men were in the Oval Office, till the moment X3 begins. It is being written by Zak Penn (X2/X3) and Chris Claremount (X-Men Comics), and it will indeed fit very neatly into the Xfilm-verse and will answer some very interesting questions, such as why isn't Nightcrawler in X3.

Also this game will close the books on Deathstrike (or re-open them depending on what takes place in the game) as she is not dead. The SENTINALS are also making an apperance in this as well as Master Mold. This amazing sounding game will feature 2d Panel style cut scenes (ala Max Payne) to tell the story.

Interesting tidbits from the pictures i am looking at:

Colossus and other new main characters from X3 will be highlighted in the game. Iceman may not be iced up, but he is kicking ass on an ICE SLIDE!! The look and desgin is so close to the films, im really excited about this. Expect to see this ame in may just days before the movie is released. Oh and btw, they said frequently in the article that this game has a goal to bridge the gap, meaning what they put in here has a purpose to be in here.
