Director, Brett Ratner talked with Entertainment Weekly online about X3! The major question on everybody's minds, is 'did Ratner actually have any input on the script since he came late into pre-production for the film?' Here's what he told them:

"Oh, yeah. What I didn't change was the plot. The plot of this movie, in my opinion — the concepts of ''The Cure'' and the Dark Phoenix — is brilliant. What I changed were set pieces, the location of where the third act would take place, for example.

Every day we were working on making the script better and when I say ''script,'' I mean the relationships among the characters and the placement of the scenes because I'm very much into transitions.

When you make a film, you're not just shooting like 50 little movies. Every scene has to connect with the next. It was a much bigger canvas because it was a much more emotional story. The story — whether you're an X-Men fan or not — is very relatable. ''The Cure'' is a very strong issue."

In other news, Superhero Hype has a great interview with Pyro actor, Aaron Stanford! The actor has a film coming out really soon called 'The Hills Have Eyes'. It's absolutely freaky, so be prepared to cover your eyes in fear! Anyways, here's a bit of what he had to say about Pyro's evolution in X3:

"He's become Magneto's right hand man in this movie and in X2 he's very ambivalent. He's not sure where his allegiance lies. He's friends with Professor X but he also has this urge to spread his wings and find his power with the brotherhood.

In X3 he's definitely off the fence. He's decided where he wants to go. He's with the brotherhood and he really is allowed to fully explore his power in this. He's off the leash."
